We've been asked to take photos of 'Magic Hour Lighting' (the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset).
These are two examples from our tutors.
John Harrison
Here are some that I took on Friday, between 17:30 and 18:30, overlooking the reservoir at Shadsworth in Blackburn. I adjusted the colours in Lightroom to create a more dramatic affect.
For all of my photos I used a small aperture (low f number) to achieve a deep depth of field (everything in focus). I used quite slow shutter speeds and higher ISO's to capture more of the light as it was starting to go dark. I also used a circular polariser lens to give more difinition to the sky and clouds.
f.20 - 1/60sec - ISO 400 .

Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think and how I could improve my pics :D
